Bismillah..
Do we ever wonder why on earth we are here? Do we know, our purpose in life? Why we actually exist on this planet? These are probably the most subtle, yet profound, questions people ask themselves every day and I can bet there’s probably as many different answers to these questions as there are people asking them, too. hehe
This is why instead of asking ourself why we are here and what exactly it is we should be doing, let us begin to make our experiences the answer to our questions and put some meaning in our life, where they belong. One of the most liberating things we can do in life, in my opinion, is find our purpose. This will give us all the meaning we require for our life. It’s what life is about, finding our purpose.
Our purpose is what drives us, what wakes us up in the morning, what gives us energy. If we do nothing else with our life, seek our purpose with all our heart so we can reap the benefits of a meaningful life!
Do we ever feel like we’re destined for something bigger? That we’re not making the most of our time here? That we’re stuck in a rut despite trying your damnedest to find our way out? We’re not alone. Allah is always be there for us.
I came not knowing from where, but I came.
And I saw a pathway in front of me, so I walked.
And I will remain walking, whether I want this or not.
How did I come? How did I see my pathway?
I do not know!
Am I new or am I old in this existence?
Am I free and unrestrained, or do I walk in chains?
Do I lead myself in my life, or am I being led?
I wish I know, but…
I do not know!
And my path, oh what is my path? Is it long or is it short?
Am I ascending in it, or am I going down and sinking?
Am I the one who is walking on the road,
or is it the road that is moving?
Or are we both standing, but it is the time that is running?
I do not know!
Before I became a full human, do you see
if I were nothing, impossible? Or do you see that I was something?
Is there an answer to this puzzle, or will it remain eternal?
I do not know ... and why do I not know??
I do not know!

"So we have created mankind in better shape. Then we place him to lower lows. Except those who believe and do good deeds, then to their wages finite." - (QS: 95/4-6)
"And I have not created the jinn and mankind except to worship Me." (Surah Adh Dzaariyaat: 56)
Hadith narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi, Nasa'i and Ahmad:
عَنْ أبِى هُرَيْرَة (ر) أنَّ رَسُول الله .صَ. قَالَ: إذَا مَاتَ الإنسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَمَلُهُ إلاَّ مِنْ ثَلاَثٍ:
صَدَقَةٍ جَارِيَةٍ اَو عِلْمٍ يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ, اَووَلَدٍ صَالِحٍ يَدْعُولَهُ (رواه ابو داود)
"When a man dies then cut off his record, except for three things: Sadaqah jariyah or beneficial knowledge or prayer of righteous children."
Here is a great video from our muslim brother.
